Program - General program preferences

Default program language
The default is set at English, you can select the language to suit your own needs.

Save configuration on exit
Checking this will save your alterations to book, lexicon, dictionary, writings and notes window positions and their content when you exit the program. If you prefer to have the same layout of windows when the program starts - leave this option checked, when exiting. Then, uncheck this option when the program starts again.
If you prefer to have the default setting when you restart then leave this option unchecked.
TIP: you can store and use more layouts. See Layout manager section.

Preferred windows layout
Cascade or Tile: This gives the option of aligning the windows horizontally or vertically.
Auto arrange will, after the main window is resized, cause the program to rearrange all windows to make maximum use of the available space.

Character table
Enable / disable character tips (name of letter, its gematria value, keyboard info).
To select the color of frames for the Hebrew and Greek tables, ‘Click’ the respective colored rectangle.

Highlight current verse in book
if enabled, you can highlight current verse background in text of book for better orientation. To select the color, click the respective colored rectangle.

Refresh toolbar on resize
default unchecked. If checked, the toolbar of the main window is refreshed during resizing (this can produce flickering).

Show toolbar tips
enable / disable tooltips icon on the main window toolbar.

Auto-end of Hebrew
(default checked) – The correct final Hebrew characters are automatically placed as you type (using keyboard or character table).

Tip of the Day on start up
enable / disable "Tip of the Day" when the program starts.

Use localised book names if available
As a default, Davar4 displays book names (Genesis, Exodus,...) as was stored in module file by author of module. When enabled, program will display localised names of Bible books, according actual program language and if this language file (LNG) contains translated book names. This option works only for Bible books.
Note: If you uncheck this option, program needs to be restarted.

Scroll tip background
Shows the color of the small reference window, which gives your position in the book when the scroll is dragged.

Scroll tip width
Enables you to change the width of the reference window, which shows your position in the book when the scroll is dragged.

Show splash screen on start
If enabled, you can specify how many ms the splash is visible. Note: clicking the mouse on the splash screen will cause the immediate end of splash delay interval.
